BUSINESS IMPACT
Business impact is what sets an organisation apart from other organisations. Business impact can be seen as the value the organisation’s employees add to the organisation. The ‘value added’ increases if the employees perform optimally. We believe three aspects of optimal performance are essential in today’s business environment, and therefore we always take them into account when facilitate optimal performance: |
- Holistic view (Connecting-the-Dots)
The ability to observe a situation from many angles and understand how the different parts interact, and connect, to form a whole. - Business Acumen (Acting on Business Situations)
The ability to be keen and quick to understand how to deal with ‘business situations’ (risks and opportunities) in a manner that is likely to lead to a positive outcome. - Critical Thinking
The ability to analyse relevant data and information, and critically question its accuracy. The ability to make links with other information, including own experiences.
Next to these three essential aspects of optimal performance, we look at organisational aspects, which may enhance optimal performance (and which link to the essential aspects):
- Culture
The ability to understand, and feel belonging with, the organisation’s culture, including strategy, competitive situation and risks. The ability to act with resilience in all situations. - Resources
The ability to understand, and use, the resources (both human and equipment) that are available within, and outside, the organisation. - Communication
The ability to understand the social process by which people interact and behave within the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders. The ability to find and process relevant and accurate information critically.
